What Is IP Scan?
This consulting service provides a comprehensive analysis of intellectual property, including:
- Which areas of IP law concern you
- Various risks associated
- Next steps and optimal protection strategies
In practice, an assigned expert on intellectual property will provide a diagnosis based on the business model of your product. You will then decide whether you should, for example, register a trademark, establish confidentiality agreements with suppliers, check copyright, or set up protection of trade secrets. The expert's final report is additionally sent to the Czech Industrial Property Office for quality control.

How Much Does It Cost?
If your company has less than 50 employees and a turnover under 50 million EUR, you can apply for a 90% cashback. Instead of paying the full 900 EUR, you will pay just 90 EUR – the EU Fund for SMEs will pay you back 810 EUR of the total amount.
How To Get the EU Grant
The grant can be obtained easily. You can apply for it yourself or we can help you with the entire process. If you decide to use our assistance, the following documents are needed:
- Details of bank account (IBAN, BIC/SWIFT, account opening date, account holder)
- Bank account statement
- Document certifying registration in the commercial register and tax identification number (e.g., VAT registration certificate)
- Declaration of the use of services of an external representative
After the grant is approved, a certified expert from the Industrial Property Office (we are also a certified provider of the IP Scan service) will be assigned to you. The IP Scan service will be performed, and the SME Fund will reimburse you 90% of the invoiced amount.
Please note that you can only apply for the grant until December 6, 2024, or until the EU funds for the given year are all distributed.
